Introduction to Creative Digital Media Production

The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Creative Digital Media Production at Sandy Secondary School is a two-year programme where students develop their understanding of the media industry through analysing media representations and pitching and producing media projects. Examined by Pearson, this qualification is equivalent to one A Level.

The course structure is made up of four units, of which three are mandatory and two are externally assessed. The mandatory content makes up 83% of the course, with external assessment accounting for 58%. This balance ensures students develop both theoretical understanding and practical creative skills.

Homework is set on a regular basis to strengthen learning in the classroom, and weekly intervention sessions are offered to provide students with additional support for classwork and homework, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
