Your Careers Journey

1

Challenging Stereotypes & Career Links

We will encourage you to challenge stereotypes and provide role models you can relate to. You will be shown how what you are learning links to careers. To help with this, teachers will display the Sandy Secondary 'Careers Learning' logo.
2

Individual Careers Interviews

You will be able to request an individual careers interview, which will help you to explore your next steps and the skills you need. We will also provide you with a range of careers resources, such as Unifrog.
3

Next Steps Interviews

During Year 8, 11 and 13 you will have individual "Next Steps" interviews with the Senior Leadership Team or a Careers Advisor to help you discuss what you would like to do next and what support you may need.
4

CV & Personal Statement Writing

In Year 11 and 13 you will look at CV and personal statement writing to support applications Post 16 and 18, to further/higher education, employment, or training.
