Terms and Conditions (Years 7–13)

Lockers are available to hire for all students in Years 7 through to 13. Each locker is individually numbered and assigned to a single student — the use of a locker is limited to the student hirer only. No marks are to be made on the locker door, and reasonable care and attention must always be taken when accessing and using the lockers.

Access to lockers is permitted only at designated times during the school day, as shown in the table opposite. Lockers may not be accessed during movement times between Lessons 1 and 2 or between Lessons 3 and 4. Accessing a locker will never be accepted as an excuse for lateness to lessons, so students should plan ahead and collect everything they need at the permitted times.

The student hirer is fully responsible for their locker key. Keys should not be given to any other student under any circumstances. If a key is lost, it must be reported to Student Services immediately — a replacement key will cost £7.00. Any damage to the locker will result in a charge for repair or replacement.

Important Reminders

Key Responsibility

Your locker key is your responsibility. Do not give it to any other student. If lost, report it to Student Services immediately. A replacement key costs £7.00.

End of Term

Lockers must be emptied at the end of each term without exception. Any items found after the end of term will be removed to Lost Property.

Year 11 & 13 Leavers

When leaving school, keys must be returned to Student Services by 1st July. Lockers must be emptied by this date — items found after will be removed.

Health & Safety Access

Lockers may need to be opened by school staff for health and safety reasons. Prior permission or warning may not always be possible in some circumstances.

Care and Conduct

Students are expected to treat their lockers with care and respect. No marks, stickers or graffiti should be applied to the locker door, and any wilful damage will result in a charge for repair or replacement. Lockers are a shared resource within the school, and keeping them in good condition ensures they remain available for all students.

Food, drink, wet or dirty kit should not be left in lockers overnight. Lockers are intended for the safe storage of books, equipment and personal belongings during the school day — they are not a long-term storage facility. Leaving perishable items or damp clothing overnight is unhygienic and may result in damage to the locker and neighbouring lockers.

Any abuse of these rules will result in the loss of the privilege of having a locker. The school reserves the right to revoke locker access at any time if a student fails to comply with the terms and conditions set out above. We ask all students and parents to read these conditions carefully to ensure a fair and positive experience for everyone.
