Politics

The Politics curriculum at Sandy Secondary School inspires students to understand debates within current affairs and appreciate the importance and structure of British and American democracy. Students develop an interest in political ideas that have shaped the past and continue to shape the future.

Through debate, research, and essay writing, students learn to interpret, evaluate and comment on increasingly complex events in 21st century government and politics, developing the analytical skills and conviction needed for informed citizenship.
